Zach Suchin
Co-Founder & CEO
Los Angeles, CA

Born and raised in Los Angeles to a family deeply immersed in the entertainment industry, he absorbed pop-culture and took interest in the media and technology sectors. Throughout high school, he worked for executive management at Sony, 20th Century Fox, ICM and The Firm. He earned degrees in both Political Science and Film at Emory University, while building a promotions business and marketing high-profile weekly events for college students, featuring recording artists such as Akon, Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris and Outkast.

In 2006, Zach moved back to Los Angeles with an increased knowledge of the digital landscape and developed College Tonight with Jason Schutzbank, which was named the best event-based social network by Mashable and was published in Generation MySpace as one of the top social networking sites on the web. What started as a conduit between local businesses and college students, became a more robust collegiate platform. TheQuad consisted of a retail outfit, collaborative tools and Greek community features. Suchin led the company through several venture rounds, successfully taking the small-cap company public in late 2007. This made Suchin the youngest CEO of a publicly-traded company in the United States. With Zach at the helm, the company grew past a market capitalization of over $100 million. He sold his share of the company in early 2009.

He then co-founded Brand Knew to help both start-ups and veteran brands better navigate the digital landscape.  Suchin is credited with having invented the developmental venture equity model now popularized by boutique digital agencies, guest lectures in new media at UCLA, USC and Boston University, and has been a Bloomberg technology contributor.  Zach sits on the board of directors for several portfolio companies and the steering committees for various non-profit organizations.  He is a Guest Member of the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Oakwood School.  He also serves on the Board of Advisors of the Organization for Social Media Safety, the leading consumer advocacy group in the industry.  Emory University inducted him into the inaugural class of 40 Under 40 in recognition of his charitable contributions.  He serves as the Digital Chair of YaLa Academy, has judged the Connect Ability Challenge for AT&T and NYU, and serves as a Board Member of the Social Impact Fund, a charitable organization that provides legal structure to programs for John Legend, Tobey Maguire,, Lily Collins, Bradley Cooper, DJ Khaled and other celebrities.  He conceived FitCause, a Nike/TechStars company that leverages fitness data towards charitable donations and was contracted by the Department of Veteran Affairs to measure veteran wellness.  He remains intimately involved in the creative direction of Brand Knew’s clients, leads investments in many of the firm’s portfolio companies, advises several start-up ventures throughout LA and chairs the Causathon event series.

Jason Schutzbank
Co-Founder & President
Philadelphia, PA

From an early age, Jason Schutzbank has had significant interest in the technology sector, which lead him to start a web development and design company at the age of 14; making him one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the country. Following his early ventures, Jason worked on many successful branding and marketing campaigns for brands such as Coca Cola and Subaru of America, with an emphasis on ease of use and utilizing envelope-pushing strategies.

With extensive experience in management and information technology, Jason co-founded College Tonight, Inc. with Zach Suchin, and helped take the venture funded social media company public in 2017. Jason architected the platform and innovated around its scaling efforts by leveraging cloud computing at its nascent stage in order to support College Tonight’s growing user base. College Tonight was named the best event-based social network by Mashable and was published in Generation MySpace as one of the top social networking sites on the web, which rose past a $100m valuation before being sold in 2009. During his time at College Tonight, Jason was recognized as one of the youngest Chief Technology Officers of a public corporation, while he was still working towards his degree at Emory University.

In June of 2009, Jason went on to co-found Brand Knew with Zach Suchin – a leading creative agency and technology studio that develops unique digital strategies for some of the most well-known brands in the world, such as E! Entertainment, YouTube, and Stand Up to Cancer, while also creating its own proprietary technologies, like Social Press Kit and Amplive, to effectively bring digital, brand and social ideas to market.

In 2011, Jason conceptualized Intercast Network from within Brand Knew as a way for its clients to distribute live events at scale, while providing audience interactivity, engagement, and real-time actionable insights. Intercast was acquired by AmpLive in 2016, and Schutzbank continues to oversee product for the organization as its Chief Product Officer. With the two companies and products coming together, AmpLive is now the leader in live video distribution where it focuses on building and delivering audiences for brands such as Microsoft, Salesforce, Autodesk, and The Home Depot.

Jason currently leads overall technology architecture across Brand Knew’s service clients and portfolio companies, as well as oversees its media buying practice.

Russell Meyerowitz
Johannesburg, South Africa

Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Russell and his family moved to San Diego in 1996. Russell was immersed in start-up culture as a young boy, which resulted in early hands-on exposure to the frenetic entrepreneur lifestyle.

In 2007, after playing D1 college tennis at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Russell started OnFIREbeerpong, Inc. which soon became a national leader in the distribution of portable and custom beer pong tables.

After an acquisition in 2008, Russell joined College Tonight, Inc. to begin development of the social shopping component for Russell helped produce and bring on global sponsors for a nationwide college fashion show featuring Lauren Conrad. After CTI was sold, Russell moved back to San Diego to start MEYROW, Inc. – a digital agency specializing in revitalizing and empowering brands to empower others.

After a successful stint in San Diego, Russell re-joined Zach Suchin and Jason Schutzbank in Los Angeles. Working intimately with clients and assessing their goals to develop and effect integrated brand strategies, Russell oversees core architecture and ensures efficient execution. Russell brings years of experience and success in generating brand equity momentum and improving user experiences.

Russell threads custom solutions for clients, by producing efficient programs from Brand Knew’s variety of services and brings a business owner mentality, energy, focus and passion to Brand Knew; personifying company culture and the elite level of services provided to clientele.  Russell conceptualized both Brand Knew’s Social Press Kit technology and the Causathon event series.

Outside of work, Russell enjoys family life with his wife and kids, working out, playing tennis and directing the vision of the MEYROW Foundation; a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with Parkinson’s and their caregivers, today through their Parkinson’s Wellness Fund.

Laura Day
Director, Marketing
Torrance, CA

Laura graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a minor in Promotions and Sports Management. Her role at Brand Knew provides her with an opportunity to combine a passion for marketing with the work ethic she developed as a record-breaking team captain of the Division One volleyball team during her tenure at GU.

As a natural leader who thrives in a competitive team environment, Laura also earned the title of VP of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, while pursuing her degree. Laura works intimately with clients, helping them to navigate the plethora of rich media opportunities across social platforms, generating organic brand buzz both on and offline. In her free time, Laura enjoys cheering on the Lakers (with her somewhat unhealthy obsession with Kobe Bryant), rooting for the Zags, working out and reading.

Alexandra Kaufman
Director, Culture & Human Resources
Los Angeles, CA

A native Angelino, Alexandra was born and raised by Hungarian immigrants and has a special love for hearing about people’s stories and diverse backgrounds. Since she was young, she has been volunteering at soup kitchens, visiting the elderly, and takes every chance she gets to travel the world. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Art History, but after participating as a volunteer at a special ed program, she went on to teach special ed and special needs professionally in both middle and high school. In 2015, her career took yet another turn toward Human Resources when she was hired by Legendary Pictures where she delved into the importance of the cultural paradigm within the corporate workplace.

Fostering community in the space where people spend most of their workday, is a prospect Alexandra is excited to engage in at Brand Knew. She believes that learning about and understanding the motives and behaviors of management and employee are vital to both corporate and individual success. She is interested to know what inspires, energizes, and drives each individual, and how those factors can nourish the collective as a whole. Over the years as an educator, she has grasped the valuable lesson of learning from every person and experience.

Alexandra joined Brand Knew because she deeply resonated with the founders’ sentiments that each and every employee is as integral as their creativity. As the director of Culture and HR, she works to cultivate a place where Knewbies (and oldies!) feel welcome, heard, and excited to come to work each morning.

Kelly Fedderson
Director, Operations
Portland, Oregon

Kelly’s passion for empowering teams and individuals to accomplish large-scale change has led her to wear many different hats in her career. Prior to joining Brand Knew, Kelly led web development projects for an agency focused on mission-driven organizations, managed large-scale organizational change initiatives, consulted on marketing campaigns, and developed grant programs. Kelly has a keen understanding of improving, optimizing, and scaling organizations. In addition to having managed complex projects, she has facilitated strategic planning processes, implemented data-driven program evaluation, and developed capacity building initiatives.

When not at work, Kelly can be found cooking delicious vegan meals, petting as many dogs as possible, and volunteering with animal rights and welfare organizations like Core Paws, which works to gain exposure for hard-to-place homeless animals in rescues and shelters across the nation.

Kathleen Bryson
Director, Marketing
Pasadena, CA

Born and raised in Pasadena, California, Kathleen graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Following her passion for entertainment and the arts, Kathleen began her career in Script Development at ABC Television.  She then moved to Nickelodeon, where she worked as a casting executive for four years before heading to graduate school at USC Annenberg to pursue a master’s degree in Marketing Strategy and Communication.  Years spent formulating strategies to reach a diverse set of television audiences sparked Kathleen’s determination to move to a creative agency after graduate school. Kathleen is very excited to be working with Brand Knew to create innovative marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and digital engagement for a premier list of clients.

When she is not at work, you can usually find Kathleen outdoors enjoying the amazing Southern California sunshine, running, playing tennis, or on the beach.  She also loves cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Maddie Bozarth
Director, Marketing
Newport Beach, CA

Raised in Newport Bech, California, Maddie attended Loyola Marymount University where she studied Business Marketing and Theatre Arts.

Her love of sports and creativity landed her a job at FOX Sports where she spent seven years in marketing and communications. Towards the end of her tenure at FOX, she was charged with managing strategic partnerships and campaign execution for FOX Sports community and education initiatives, including spearheading the company’s award winning social impact program.

Tasked with developing unique content to be supported across all platforms including broadcast, digital and outdoor, it was there that Maddie developed a keen sense for brand management and an admiration for creative storytelling.

As a long time supporter of the company, Maddie is thrilled to be a meaningful member of the Brand Knew team. Outside of work, Maddie is all consumed by her love of travel and the outdoors. In her free time, she can be found exploring new hiking trails, snowboarding, or taking time to relax with friends at the beach.

Maddie continues her nonprofit support, sitting on both the Los Angeles Leadership Council for U.S. Soccer Foundation and the National Sports Advisory Council for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Pablo Santiago
Manager, Engineering
Mayagüez, Puerto Rico

Building things has always been Pablo’s passion. He started young, playing with legos, models and BASIC programming. Over the years, he found himself turning to technology, creating digital music and websites.

Soon after earning a B.S. in Telecommunications, Pablo began exploring Illustrator and Photoshop, finding himself naturally drawn to graphic and print design. He began working in advertising at MFP&W, one of the top advertising agencies in Puerto Rico. As he saw the industry trend towards digital, Pablo switched gears to work as a web designer and developer for Grupo Ferre Rangel, the island’s main newspaper and internet company.

In 2005, Pablo sought to expand his horizons by moving to Los Angeles, where he was eager to explore new professional opportunities. He worked first as a Flash designer and then as a PHP/WordPress developer for several media companies, including Instaclick and AdMedia.

Pablo brings more than 10 years of experience, a unique blend of design and programming skills, and an excellent taste for beer.

Kristen Abercrombie
Manager, Creative
Cincinnati, OH

Kristen always knew she wanted to pursue a creative career. Her love for art and passion for problem solving led her to attend the University of Cincinnati’s celebrated College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. During her studies, she alternated between classroom study, travel abroad, and real world work experience, completing her education as an intern at Apple in Cupertino, California.

After moving to Los Angeles, Kristen spent several years working as a graphic designer and illustrator, collaborating with companies and organizations such as Verizon, AT&T, Target, Anthropologie, the Los Angeles Times, and Greenpeace. She has since expanded into the digital space, crafting memorable, purposeful, and usable interfaces while constantly challenging herself to learn something new with every project.

Kristen is a nature loving, coffee addict, who spends her free time hiking with her rescue pup, Radar, and exploring Los Angeles on two wheels.

Lauren Law
Manager, Marketing
Manhattan Beach, California

Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California, Lauren graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in Business and a concentration in Marketing. She was a Division 1 athlete and part of the Student-Athlete Honors Program all 4 years while both playing on the volleyball team, and competing on the CP Snowboard Team.

Post college, Lauren began her career in the Fashion Industry where she learned skills and proficiencies that propelled her up the ladder. Through the world of product development and buying, Lauren gained valuable knowledge of how to create and brand products to suit target markets in fast-paced, shifting environments.

Joining the Brand Knew team has given Lauren an opportunity to express herself creatively while providing the perfect outlet to share her unique perspective, enthusiasm, and background in pop culture, branding, and fast-paced targeted campaigns. She brings a motivated and innovative work ethic to the team that boosts client brand awareness and increases brand equity.

When she’s not hard at work, you can catch Lauren out in the water- surfing, or up in the snow- skiing or snowboarding. Long sunset walks on the beach are a real thing to her, she travels whenever she can, and she shops like it’s going out of fashion.

Rob Knox
Redondo Beach, CA

Rob was born in Redondo Beach, but lived in the Los Angeles most of his life. His journey began with a deep interest in design. After completing a degree in Graphic Design, he decided to explore the world of web design. After catching the coding bug, through multiple educational formats and a constant hunger for learning, he taught himself what he needed to make websites. Now with 13 years of web design experience and 6 years of WordPress development, Rob was brought on to the team as a WordPress engineer. When Rob isn’t coding he enjoys playing board/card games of all sorts, woodworking, vegetable gardening, traveling and beer/wine tasting.

Matt Wagner
Senior Strategist, Creative
Holland, MI

Matt was born and raised in the small lakeside town of Holland, MI and from a young age showed the promise of a creative and design-centric future. While pursuing a degree in business at Michigan State University, Matt used music as his creative outlet, going on to record original tracks and performing live, including opening sets alongside a Grammy award-winning artist and the DJ Mag number one rated DJ in the world. He also invested significant time with the university’s start-up incubation program, working to bring a marketing analytics concept to fruition.

After graduating, Matt went on to work in the automotive industry for a tier-one supplier. He managed the company’s challenging low-volume, high-mix accounts with automakers such as Ford, GM, FCA, and Honda. While also managing the company’s marketing efforts, Matt was reintroduced to his passion for creativity, designing customer decks and other marketing materials for the team. In early 2017, he decided it was time to make the creative leap; Brand Knew offered a perfect fit.

Daniel Ross
Senior Strategist, Content
San Diego, CA

Daniel was born and raised in San Diego, California, to a mother from Auckland, New Zealand and a father from Burbank, California. Growing up, he spent his days playing sports year-round, and had a few musical stints playing both drums and piano.

An important part of Daniel’s upbringing comes from his days at High Tech High International, a public charter high school that placed a significant emphasis on project-based learning, technology, and global awareness. Daniel thrived in this unique environment and throughout this time, he founded the school rugby team, served as student body president, and undertook his first business venture, a mobile DJ company. After high school, Daniel moved two hours north to attend UCLA where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. During college, he played on the men’s rugby team and was a member of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity.

Daniel joins Brand Knew directly from working on a startup venture of his own – a crowdsourced private property parking app. In this effort, Daniel led a team from the very early conceptual stages all the way through development, and it was during this time when he discovered his passion for marketing, branding, and emerging technologies.

In his spare time, you’ll likely find him with an iced coffee in hand, listening to a podcast or planning his next trip, while searching for the best burrito in town, petting every dog in sight.

Raj Ramakabir

Saratoga, CA

Originally from Saratoga, CA, Rajiv is a designer who has a passion for creating unique and eye-catching visual experiences. In 2016, he received his Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Design from the University of Southern California Roski School of Art and Design and since then has worked in the fast-paced marketing and digital advertising world with key clients such as Nike, Fox, BMW, Billboard, and Variety.

Coming from a sports background, outside of the office, Rajiv loves to play sports, workout, hang at the beach, and generally compete / challenge himself. He enjoys listening to all types of music and loves concerts and festivals. Don’t be surprised if you see him with his headphones on, bobbing his head to the music.

Gil Marom
Manager, Office Operations
Rishon LeZion, Israel

Growing up, Gil showed enthusiasm for large productions. After moving to the United States from Israel at the age of 12, he continued to chase his dreams and immersed himself in the entertainment and advertising fields.

Gil attended the accredited School of Media and Strategic Communications and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications from Oklahoma State University. Post graduation, he moved to Southern California after interning for multiple advertising agencies and started working for the leading social media platform for home remodeling and design, Houzz.

Throughout his career, he gained experience in graphic design, digital marketing, video/audio editing, photography, sales, and event planning. When he has free time, Gil enjoys taking dance classes and teaching hip hop.

Recently moving to his dream city of Los Angeles, Gil is excited to be at Brand Knew, fulfilling his creative aspirations.

Sherwinlove Bernardino
Creative Strategist
Markina, Philippines

Sherwinlove was born in Markina, Philippines and was raised in Eagle Rock, CA. Growing up in a musical family, Sherwinlove has always had a natural inclination for art. Playing with legos at an early age ultimately led to designing for some of the top brands in the country. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art with a focus in Visual Communications from Cal State LA. During his time there, he had the privilege of working for a multimillion dollar non-profit organization that focused on developing student involvement within the campus. Furthermore, Sherwinlove was fortunate enough to have been introduced to a handful of individuals that would later lead to opportunities. These opportunities ranged from part-time jobs with startups that catered to big brands like Nike and Adidas to freelance clients such as Massy Arias and several Instagram bloggers.

If he isn’t at his desk churning awesome designs and drafting the craziest concepts, you can find him relaxing at a local café, playing the guitar, or photographing food. He has since picked up snowboarding as a hobby and in spite of the pain, he thoroughly enjoys it.

Emily Finney
Senior Strategist, Marketing
Las Vegas, NV

After growing up between Los Angeles, New York City, Illinois, and Las Vegas, Emily graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Creative Writing. During her undergraduate career, she conducted personality disorder research in Chile, supported survivors of relationship abuse and sexual assault through a 24 hour call center, and promoted mental health awareness and accessibility for those with disabilities.

Following post-grad research at UC Berkeley, Emily followed her creative instincts into a career in brand-building and marketing. She managed Merchandising Operations at a San Francisco-based fashion start-up before supporting integrated marketing initiatives at Lucky Brand Jeans. Prior to joining Brand Knew, Emily launched and expanded the brands of clients in fashion, entertainment, and media at a Los-Angeles based licensing agency.

When she’s not putting her creativity to work for Brand Knew clients, Emily keeps her nose to the sketchpad/ camera/ laptop/ canvas. She can also be found hiking in the Angeles National Forest with her Husky, Dakota or getting her brunch on at the Local Peasant. She escapes to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana as often as she can.

Charley Rock
Senior Strategist, Marketing
Los Angeles, CA

Charley (not Charlie) was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. After studying Communications / Film at UCLA he spent almost three years at Laundry Service managing FOXTV’s accounts, including some of his favorite programs (The Simpsons and Family Guy).

In his spare time, Charley enjoys participating in anything he can win at, although he has recently begun performing stand-up comedy, an activity he now knows leaves no winners.

His favorite TV shows used to include high-quality programs such as Breaking Bad and True Detective, but he has now devolved into a fan of only The Bachelor.

Charley roots for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Redskins as he refuses to jump on the Rams bandwagon.

Dominic Diorio
Paid Media Strategist

Dominic graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a BA of Communication with a concentration in Media Marketing. No stranger to the world of start-ups, Dominic served as a founding member of several start-ups during his time as an undergrad, gaining experience in the tech and lifestyle fields which continually influences his work in paid media today. While not studying or working, he spent time as a Founding Father of UCSD’s chapter of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Dominic was born in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles; so when it came time to choose where to settle after graduation, he sought out the best opportunities in his home town. After graduation, before joining Brand Knew, Dominic founded and operated his own media marketing agency, specializing in the exotic car market and paid media.

In his downtime, Dominic is likely planning his next trip, scrolling through /r/nba, powerlifting, or exploring the food scene in LA.

Sarah Levy
Marketing Strategist
St. Louis, MO

Sarah was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She received a degree in Journalism, with specializations in Public Relations and Advertising, and a minor in Psychology from Indiana University. After graduation, she decided to leave the comfort of the Midwest for sunny Southern California.

Sarah has a background in entertainment and beauty public relations, digital marketing, and has mastered the ins and outs of platform management. She brings her passion for creating compelling and engaging content to Brand Knew.

In her free time, you can find Sarah exploring with her Canon, binge watching anything and everything, cycling, and eating her way through Los Angeles.

Taylor Winnie
Marketing Strategist
Stockbridge, MI

After a childhood well spent in the rural Midwest, Taylor decided her aspirations were bigger than a small hometown could offer. A life dedicated to expanding her knowledge and exploring the world, Taylor studied International Business and Marketing at Grand Valley State University. Her studies moved her to Munich, Germany in pursuit of German fluency and the completion of her degree.

While living in central Europe, she had the opportunity to travel the world, getting lost in the Souks of Marrakech, kayaking the shores of Thailand, and hiking the Bavarian Alps—beer in hand. But life requires a balance of work and play. Taylor put her ideation skills to the test while working at a German sports agency, creating social content and curating campaign concepts for major international brands like Adidas, BMW and PowerBar. After a year in Germany, her adventurous spirit brought her to the California sunshine, where she began her journey at Brand Knew.

When she’s not exploring the nooks of LA, Taylor spends her time experimenting in the kitchen, reading non-fiction novels, and researching where she’ll take her next exotic vacation.

Ricky Nguyen
Marketing Strategist
San Diego, CA

Ricky was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in San Diego, California with parents from Vietnam. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Marketing and a minor in Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University. During his undergraduate years, Ricky’s passion for marketing and creativity grew as he became a founding member of Theta Chi Fraternity and Aztec Music Group – with additional involvement under Associated Students as a member of the Music & Entertainment Committee and GreenFest Executive Committee.

After receiving his degree in 2016, Ricky gained valuable marketing experience working as an intern for a technology start-up while professionally DJing in San Diego. Ricky’s entrepreneurial spirit and bright mind comes from the culmination of his eclectic experiences as he moved up to LA to start his exciting career with Brand Knew.

On his free time, you can catch him curating a mix, cruising on his board along a boardwalk, or casually enjoying the beautiful weather Southern California has to offer.

Samantha Driscoll
Marketing Strategist
Seattle, Washington

Living in Seattle, Samantha’s creative mind and flair for innovation, as well as her slight dependence on coffee, flourished. While attending Gonzaga University to pursue a degree in Marketing and Public Relations, she wanted to do something that would expand her worldview and provide unique growth opportunities. This took her to Florence, Italy where she did a semester abroad and assisted in teaching English to Italian elementary school children.

After graduation, she decided she wanted to explore places and options that would put her outside of Washington and outside of her comfort zone, while giving her ample learning opportunities and experiences. While it says Native Texan on her birth certificate, Alicia Marie grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA. A classically trained actor and playwright, she’s studied with theatre companies like Complicite and Dell’Arte, and at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, The British American Drama Academy and The University of Southern California (BA ’16). Soon after graduating from USC, she moved to New York City where she acted with Phoenix Theatre Ensemble (formerly Jean Cocteau Rep.).

While in New York, Alicia Marie fell in love with marketing as the perfect combination of storytelling and data analysis. After working with brands in the non-profit, influencer and artificial intelligence spaces, she is excited to bring her imagination and love of story to a place where creativity is the currency.
